Haste wins prestigious Customer Services Award!

The European Call Centre & Customer Service Awards 2014 took place on 12 June 2014 on the banks of the River Thames, Old Billingsgate with spectacular views of Tower Bridge, South Bank and the Shard.

Ian Hopwood and Danny Lakin attended the awards ceremony, receiving the award for Winners of Customer Services Innovation 2014.

Ian described the night as “an amazing evening filled with some of the great examples of international customer service. To be shortlisted was a great honour alone, to win and be recognised in the area of customer service which is the heart and soul of Haste is like a dream come true”.

The selection process for the finalists was challenging and robust, with Haste entering a case study from our recent experiences during this years storms, followed by a presentation in front of a judging panel in London. Haste successfully made the shortlist with 5 other finalists, including Virgin Media and Proctor & Gamble (P&G)

The judges said “Haste was the stand-out entry here. The judges were particularly inspired by the way their service innovations have delivered benefits, not only for members of the public, but also to their internal customers and employees”.

Haste’s winning presentation was themed on the rapid and mobile Welfare and Emergency Generation service that has evolved in recent years and was very effectively utilised during this winter’s storms throughout the UK. The service was deployed and focused to seek out and help the most vulnerable customers in practical ways such as power provision for essential heating and lighting, or simply a hot meal a drink and a chat.
