Haste Charity Work in Nepal

Since 2014, employees at Haste have been fundraising in aid of a Nepalese charity that helps Tibetan refugees, a cause discovered on a trip in 2014 by Iain Christie (before the devastating 2015 earthquake).

To date Haste has raised about £2000, and importantly because we send the money straight to the Nepalese charity, every penny is directed to the people that need it most. Read more >

Haste Working for Water Utility Company
during major incident

Haste's major incident team were contracted to help manage customer care, dissemination of information, distribution of bottled water and appliance repairs during a water discolouration incident affecting about 1500 customers in the Coulsdon area of south London

The discolouration occurred due to a pipework fault resulting in turbulent water through the network. The net result was cloudy water that was not harmful to health. Read more >

Haste's "cut-out fire" service

Haste are the experts when it comes to dealing with electrical fires at or around the DNO’s cut-out position. Haste are assigned to deal with about twenty of these incidents every year.

This service is used by most of the UK’s DNO’s to make emergency repairs thus enabling the customer’s installation to be re-energised as soon as possible... most incidents are re-energised on the same day as the fire! Read more >

Haste's Emergency Generator Service

Haste’s emergency and planned generator service is contracted by Western Power Distribution, Scottish & Southern Energy Power Distribution and Scottish Hydro.

The service is unique in that Haste engineers with MOCOPA competency are able to connect direct to the customer’s installation, thus offering a simple and rapid solution to power outage incidents. Read more >

Haste charity day at Hilsea Lido

Haste recently provided equipment and labour free of charge during a charity day at Portsmouth’s Hilsea Lido. The lido is currently being refurbished in an effort to save it from permanent closure.

When it became apparent that Portsmouth County Council planned to close Hilsea Lido at the end of the 2008 season a pressure group was formed and began investigating alternative ways of saving this much loved facility. Read more >

Ian Hopwood and Danny Lakin attended the awards ceremony, receiving the award for Winners of Customer Services Innovation 2014.

The European Call Centre & Customer Service Awards 2014 took place on 12 June 2014 on the banks of the River Thames, Old Billingsgate with spectacular views of Tower Bridge, South Bank and the Shard. Read more >

Report on Haste’s Mobilisation, Welfare Bus & 3 kw Generator service - Inverness/Perth/Oban

Haste donations help raise £747 for SSE Hydro charity

The Haste team plus Welfare Bus were present at this years Linesman's Rodeo event organised by Alasdair Crowe of SSE Oban depot.

The event was held at the Black Isle Showground near Inverness, and Haste donated prizes that helped raise £747 for Moray Firth Radio Cash for Kids.

Latest addition to the Welfare bus

Haste are proud to announce the latest service to supplement the array of benefits the customer care welfare bus has to offer.

Free WiFi has been installed to the bus, allowing customers to log on and access the Internet and email via a multi-channel router. The service is completely free and takes about 15 seconds to connect. Read more >

Since 2003 Haste have provided the service to attend to Neutral faults with the Distributors in the midlands. The current owners Western Power Distribution have now endorsed the services of Haste and engaged them for a further framework agreement. Read more >

Haste called to assist SSE with the Kintyre storms

The Kintyre peninsula was battered by a late winter storm in March 2013, bringing down countless power lines and affecting 20,000 households.

Haste were tasked by SSE Hydro staff to provide temporary generator power to vulnerable customers in remote locations. Read more >

Following their assistance in a major incident Electricity North West have fully endorsed the service supplied by Haste in awarding a framework agreement for the supply of emergency incident support following voltage incidents.

Argyll & Bute - Riser works – SSE Scotland

During the Autumn of 2012 Haste were asked to install risers & distribution equipment at various residential sites on the isles of Bute & Cumbrae, by our client SSE Hydro.

When the sun is shining, it is estimated the power produced by 1830 Solar Photovoltaic (PV) panels is 400 kW.
